Editorial Policy
For details on paper submission, please, apply to Section “Instructions for authors”
Submitting a manuscript to our Journal, the author(s) should ensure that the paper (in any form and language) has not been published previously and it is not simultaneously submitted for consideration to another journal, book, etc.
Paper authorship should be limited by persons who have significantly contributed to the reported investigation (review); “Acknowledgements” Section in the paper should be used to mention all other participants of the study. Any changes in the author’s list (addition, removal, listing order changes, etc.) should be justified. The corresponding author of the paper should ensure that all the paper authors agreed to the manuscript publication and gave the proper authority to act on their behalf to the corresponding author. The corresponding author mediates the editorial process between the Journal and his co-authors, informing them on all steps of the process.
Our Journal uses a closed single-blind peer review system; for details and time-schedule of the process, please, see Section “Peer-review procedure”. The review procedure is mandatory for all papers/reviews, including the manuscripts invited for publication by the Editors of topical issues. At least two experts are evaluating each contribution to the Journal; author’s names are available to the reviewers, but the reviewers names are not revealed to the authors. The author’s suggestions on the reviewers list are appreciated, but the final decision on the experts is an Editor decision.
The Journal reserves the right to reject the submitted papers without a review in case when the manuscripts are out of the Journal’s focus, are not sufficiently important or their novelty and potential reader’s interest are limited.
The reviewers follow Guidelines for the experts, objectively evaluating the originality of the work, its impact and significance, as well as methodology used and conclusions stated. In case the experts consider the manuscript as being acceptable for publication (“accepted” or “minor corrections” recommendation), the paper is accepted for publication.
“Major revision” recommendation requires the significant changes in the submitted paper. In this case, authors should revise their submission with regard to the expert comments; obviously, the constructive discussions with the reviewer’s comments are appreciated. The revised manuscripts are again reviewed by the experts; basing on their evaluation, the Editors make the final decision on papers acceptance/rejection. In case of contradictions in the expert’s recommendations, the decision is formed by Editor’s. For the deadlines and details of the revision process, please, see Section “Peer-review procedure”; in case when deadlines are not met, the submission will be considered as a new one.
“To reject the paper” decision will be made in case of serious drawbacks in the submitted paper. Any violations of the Editorial ethics mean an uncontested rejection of the submission. In case of any conflicts, the final decision is done by Editor-in-Chief or by Deputy Editor-in-Chief. The authors will receive pdf files of their papers for final proofreading, minor corrections are available at this step. However, any revisions and corrections dealing with the changes in the scientific contents are not accepted.
Manuscripts are posted online as soon as they are ready for publication in the Section “Issues in preparation” and, finally, are moved to “Published issues” Section. No changes are available after the paper publication. The “Reviews on Advanced Materials and Technologies” is an Open Access electronic Journal, no hard copies and reprints are available.
The non-commercial use of all materials published is possible (see Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial License 4.0 (CC BY-NC 4.0) for details); the wide spectrum of the authors rights is governed by the Copyright Agreement. In case when the commercial use of the materials is planned, please, contact the Staff Editor by e-mail.
Scientific misconduct and other fraud
Scientific misconduct and any other violations of Editorial Ethics - ссылка (plagiarism, falsification, multiply submissions, fraudulent research, etc.) are absolutely unacceptable. In case of such violations, Editors will immediately reject the submitted paper, ban its authors for a certain time period, and inform the funding organization.
Conflict of interest
Authors, reviewers, and editors should avoid any conflict of interests following from their financial, professional or personal reasons (see Section “Editorial ethics”) for more details. All persons dealing with paper publication must declare such conflicts.
